This morning, I went for a 5K run at White Rock Lake. I started at 6:30am in the dark at a nice slow and steady pace. It was such a joy to watch the morning rise over the lake. I loved hearing the turtle doves, hoot owls, and loon-like birds start their morning chatter. Now that I'm over the January gunk, I'd like to start running 5K once a week in preparation for my
5K race at the end of March. I've never been a morning person, but running is something I'll definitely get up for. Today, I ran 3.1 miles in 38 minutes.

I love mornings too. Good for you for getting out the door.
Getting out the door seems to be the hardest part... but once you're out. BOOM! You can do it!
I love running first thing in the morning - getting in a good workout and all those endorphins ... totally sets a great pace for the rest of the day!
Great way to start the day - your description is gorgeous!
I cannot get over how fast you've progressed with your running. I'm totally floored. Your hard work is SO inspiring!
Other than that, I have NOTHING to add...I'm totally a morning person, and boy howdy, DO NOT get between me and the door when I've got a run planned!
