"Living raw foods in their most natural uncooked state are packed full of taste, nutrients and enzymes. Enzymes help you digest food and are catalysts for every metabolic reaction in your body. Without these enzymes, there can be no cell division, energy production or brain activity. If you heat food above 104 degrees Fahrenheit, you destroy the enzymes in the food."

So what do you eat?
I am certainly not a raw foodist. I like to think of myself as "sort of raw". I eat a partially raw diet that also includes whole grains, cooked vegetables and cooked fish. I have lost a lot of weight eating this way. I try to limit refined sugars and flours, genetically modified foods and anything that comes from a fast food establishment. I still eat a handful of french fries every once in a long while, but my daily sustenance comes from whole raw and cooked foods. By abandoning my Standard American Diet, I have discovered a whole world of wonderful food! And at the end of the day, it helps me lose weight and feel great.
