My Dad is visiting this week from Scotland and I have been preparing mostly all raw meals for him as well as myself and my husband, Jack. He's been impressed at the yumminess and easy digestion of our meals. I think we might have a convert! In order to prepare these awesome raw meals, I do a lot of chopping and this week, I got lazy and cut off a small tip from my middle finger. Ouch! It was a painful reminder that I need to remain mindful when preparing meals. Ugh.
But, overall, this was a great week that proved to me that eating raw meals and juicing in the mornings is working for me and my family. My husband even lost two or three more pounds! Isn't that cool? This week, I lost three pounds for a total loss of 25 pounds. That is 1/3 of my weight loss goal! I'm thrilled.
Pounds lost this week: 3
Total pounds lost: 25
The "I Did It" List
stuck to my eating plan
switched out most all beverages for water
began all of my days with 16 ounces of "green lemonade"

Hope your finger is better by now. From my experience, having the middle finger in a bandage (or held erect) provides subtle commentary on some of life's situations! I 'enjoyed' six weeks of a middle finger in a splint while I was still working. Sometimes no word needed! :-)
OK - seriously - good for you to be doing this re-working of your family eating. It takes a lot of thought, planning and work. Congratulations on sticking with it, and on being so self aware in the process of it all.
So sorry about your finger! Ouch!
But you, my friend, are kickin' ass and taking names on the weight loss.
Woot!
Yay! Congrats!! 25 lbs is a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourself!
ps - hope your finger is ok?!
