Weigh In - Week 32

I just returned home from a morning at boot camp and a mile jog with the kids in our double stroller.  This was my first day back to boot camp in ten days.  TEN.  It was a rough morning, but I'm so glad I just dove in again.  There came a point when I had to sit out for a moment as not to keel over or throw up.  The lasting effect of my ear infections is that my equilibrium is crap.  Today, we did a lot of work with empty tires, which by the way are F-ing heavy!  All four of us were swinging these tires around to Lady Gaga and looked like a high school production of "Greased Lightning" gone all kinds of wrong.  Then I remembered that the tires used in the musical numbers for "Grease" were Styrofoam painted to look like tires.  Our tires were very very very real.

After this past week of illness and infection and eating poorly and almost no exercise, I'm ready to reinvest my energy in pursuit of Smaller Sarah.  I won't bore you with the laundry list of shitty food I consumed this week or the hours I logged on the couch.  Suffice it to say, I'm ready for a little detox.  I'm considering another juice fast in the coming weeks just to re-set my eating habits and re-tune my body after being ill.  Have any of you, dear readers, done any kind of a fast after being ill?  How was it?

I hopped on the scale this morning, and it said I had lost a pound.  Then I hopped on the scale after my run and it said I had gained a pound.  For our purposes, I'm going to call it a wash and say that I am still the same weight I was at the beginning of the last week.

Pounds lost this week: 0
Total pounds lost: 45

The "I Did It" List
I'm having a really hard time coming up with something...

I made it through the week
I didn't kill my children
I tipped the pizza guy well
 um...

...that's all I've got.

And just for fun, here is "Greased Lightning" from the movie.
They don't bench press tires in this version because they're skinny wimps.

i've never done a fast.
try to get lots of protein -- it helps with healing.
dark green veggies, water, citrus, B12, and Omega 3!

You'll be back to yourself in no time.
